We are a couple living in a 2-bedroom apartment very close to U.Q. and QUTin Fairfield suburb, so we are renting out one double bedroom with a desk, chair, and wardrobe. The house is only 10 min away from UQ by bike and 10 min from QUT. The shops, restaurants, and buses are only 3-4 minutes walk away from the house. The rent is 175$ for the room and 15$ for the bills (internet, electricity, hot water, and cooking gas). The rent for for short term and long term rents (preferably a female bcz my wife is a muslim wearing a head cover). The house is fully furnished with everything, and your room will have a pretty big double bed with heaps of storage under the bed. A study table with chair, a wardrobe, and a heater+fan are also included. The house has a large living room as well as dining table, with a big kitchen--fully equipped. We also have a swimming pool in our garden. For parkings, you can have parking space on the compound premises close to the street, and there are other heaps of spaces on the street itself. We are easy going, and open minded couple and we are both PhD students at UQ. We spend most of our time at university so you will barely see us only in the morning and late at night.
